January Favourites

January is over, Easter eggs have hit the shelves yet Christmas products are still being sold at discount prices? Makes sense yeah... Surely I shouldn't be complaining. I'm currently half way through a block of chocolate.

I don't even know where to begin for this months favourites, it's gone so fast I feel like I just finished writing about December! Charlie began Daycare this month so I began educating myself on how to pack a nude lunch box, no packets, rubbish or glad wrap ect. This has been fun, packing it full of colour with fruits ect.
I've also been enjoying a bath of a night time to relax, lush bath bombs which were a Christmas gift have been a staple. The aroma is pleasant and the silkyness of my skin after a bath is devine!

Something special and I guess I can add it into my favourites for this month would be these VBAC affirmations and beads. I have been receiving these from gorgeous ladies from all over Australia. I joined in on a bead swap, where you purchase some beads and send one and an affirmation to each lady involved. I'll be taking both of these into the hospital with me during labour.

January has been a month full of new friendships, collaborations and love on the IG front. We have hit 1.8k and I'm over the moon! I can't thankyou all enough for the generous support and kindness you have all provided me with (:

November Favourites •

Last months favourites blog was late and this months is early? Motherhood right... You can never be perfect. Speaking of perfection, I have heard a lot about this secret group of mothers and woman on Instagram, mummy mafia ect. I have never witnessed it myself but it sounds awful. Grown adults, mothers, roll models bullying?! Seriously. It's pathetic. You can use social media to stream the perfect lifestyle, posed pictures, designer clothes and decor. But you know what? The people who feel the need to hide the reality from their social media are the ones who are insecure. I love posing Charlie and dressing him up but I've still got a fucking grip on reality. I'll post the 500 bad photos before posting the one half good one I got.
I don't appreciate falling into the category of mummy bloggers who do it to get free shit, to be Insta Famous and whatever other crap you want to throw around.
I write this blog to share my knowledge and experiences, to hopefully help at least one person, to show them they are not alone.

This is us. The real us. No makeup, no brand name clothing. Not even a filter!

But let's jump into my favourites for this month...

For myself this month I have been reaching out for support. I have gotten involved in a bead swap on one of my favourite pages the Vbac Australia support group page on Facebook. I highly reccomended this group! They also have a lot of sister groups including the Vbac Victoria support group who I have also joined for info on hospitals and care providers. I find the woman uplifting and super encouraging.
I have also become addicted to The midwives television show on the ABC, it's uk based and on at 2pm weekdays. I may or may not try to work Charlie's nap around this time....

For our little mini we have purchased a wardrobe and sets of drawers, I have sorted through all Charlie's clothing and kept the handy items! *see previous blog post for newborn essentials* I have purchased accordingly and stocking up on bits and pieces which I think are important. Such as zip up onsies and button up under the nappy singlets.

My absolute favourite thing about Charlie this month is he is now acknowledging when he is doing a poo or wee. He comes and tells me once his finished, does anyone know how I can get him to tell me before he goes? Is this a good toilet training sign?
Oh my I can't forget, block out blinds ! Day light at 8pm not in Charlie's room.

OCTOBER FLATLAY

Jumping back into monthy flatlay favourites which this isn't even a flatlay but you get that! October was a super busy month for us and since I'm pregnant I have collected a lot of must haves over the last 4 weeks.

My target audience as you would have been realising is splitting in half. Directing back to pregnant and new mothers, as well as my current audience of mothers with tots! So from now on my monthly flatlays will include half my favourite products for my growing bump as well as the must haves which Charlie has adored.

Seamless / Wireless bras - KMART
$12 for a two pack

Caffeine Free Tetley green tea -
This decaf green tea gives me a bigger fresher boost than coffee! Don't ask me how but it does. I still have my morning coffee but for the rest of the day this is my go to pick me up!

Fit / Exercise Ball - KMART
$10 multiple sizes
Sitting on this ball helps my back pain and it also helps baby sit in a correct position. Even though we all slump in the couch majority of the time.... Hey I am right now.

Charlie has also gone through a few changes this month! We have cut out his nightly bedtime bottle which was the only bottle he was having. In doing so I make sure he has a drink of milk each day on these cold rainy days he loves a warm milk milo whilst I'm having a cuppa. He also loves yoghurt and cheese so lacking dairy isn't anything we need to worry about! We have also changed up bedtime which now includes a night light, story time and closing his door as I leave the room. I don't want to say too much because I'll do a whole post on Charlie's bedtime routine in the coming days. So without spoiling my next blog I'll leave it at that.
Look out on @mummyblogger__ Instagram for the actual flatlay picture of my monthly favourites as I haven't taken one as yet. So for now have a photo of my growing bump and my little love.

M A R C H F L A T L A Y || favourites

March was a HUGEE month for us, not only did my babe turn one but he also started walking and then running!
We finally got around to baby proofing the house. Firstly cupboard locks went on every draw and cupboard in the house. I then thought it would be best to insert outlet plugs into the power points to stop him inserting little things in there! BAM BOWWW Charlie somehow managed to remove those plugs and had the whole thing in his mouth! Now that backfired majorly.
Grip Dotts on onsies, socks and slippers will all come in super handy once you have a walker and a home with polished floor boards and tiles! Let's leave that alone...... It's a bit of a headache 😂✋litterally.
Something new I came across in March was suction bowels and plates they attach to the high chair tray and your toddler can't throw the bowel on the ground or tip it on their head. Yep you guessed it. Charlie's done both!

If you have stumbled across a product you think I would LOVE let me know down below (:
