Teething, my tips and tricks to struggle through!

6:56:00 pm

Hey everyone!

Now this is a tough one, each baby and mumma is different and everything I say and do is my own personal approach so please don't criticise me or think your doing it wrong of your just doing thing differently (:

Charlie started showing signs of teething around 3-4 months which is quite common (: some signs might include the following:
| flushed cheeks
| hot ears
| white gums
| sleep disruption
| temperature
| chomping on everything they can get in their mouth!

Dribble is shocking Tshirts will become saturated and if your bubba didn't use bibs before hand stock up now! Bibs with a plastic backing are fabulous so the wetness can't soak through to thier shirts (: pannadole and nurophen are also handy to keep in the fridge/cupboard incase of a fever or severe pain. I have found nurophen helps reduce the fever for longer periods of time such as at night.

Now amber teething necklaces? I brought one when Charlie was 3 months old and he wore it for about a week, it annoyed him because he was so little and chubby the it rubbed on his neck. His now 7 months old and has been wearing it for the past two weeks, it's more comfortable because he has more neck room now haha 😂
I personally don't think it relieves 100% of pain and irritation but for my son it deffinitely helps!

Another little tip is freezing a face washer and letting them chew on it, it's easy to grip and nice and cold on their gums!
I also travel with bonjella for a instant quick fix relief for bubs if his being irritated badly. I have heard some babes dislike the taste so I guess it's trial and error but Charlie loves it. But hey, this kid of mine will eat anything!
Speaking of eating since I have started BLW one meal a day I think that is also a fun time did him to excessive chewing which also is some relief on his gums.
What is BLW you say? Look out for my next blog post 👌
