Top baby shower gifts!

Baby showers are lots of fun! Well mine wasn't.. I hated mine but that's a story for another day!

Presents are a big part of a baby shower but the presents that really stand out are realistic ones! Things that can be used daily.
Here is my list (with some help of my lovely Instagram followers) of the best baby shower gifts!

Home made hamper of real gifts! On their own these gifts may not seem like much but choose a few and throw them all into a cute storage basket of toy box and it's the prefect gift!
nappies
wipes
powders
creams
bath stuff
singlets
onsies

Think to the future!
Bigger sizes of clothing, Next seasons bedding! Things that mummas will think they have plenty of time to get in the future. Little do they know it will sneak up on them so quickly! Here are a few others:
bowels, spoons, plates
sippy cups
baby food blender
recipie book
babyledweaning book

Books!
Books are something that can be used from the moment you bring your baby home and continue to use as they grow. I would have loved to get more books at my baby shower as I read to Charlie all the time!

Car Seat Mirror!
Now this is something I didn't have for Charlie but a lovely IGer brought this to my knowledge! It's a mirror that sits on the head rest of the back seat, so you can see baby when they are rear facing! What a fab idea!

Gifts for the mumma
A massage or pamper voucher to use to relax before bub arrives would be a lovely touch. Even a eye wake up concealer to use on the mornings which you had no sleep! Trust me mummas will love these gifts too.

8 and a half month old @ Christmas time

Wow oh wow! Christmas has deffinitely snuck up on me this year! I say this each year but this has by far been the quickest 😂
Charlie is now 8 and a half month old and will be 9 months soon after Christmas! By golly is he keeping me on my toes.
I always thought people were crazy when they said tye found it more difficult with a older child rather than a newborn but now I can understand what they all meant! It gets easier in ways of communicating, playing and understanding your child. But being able to do things for yourself even like going to the toilet is SO difficult! I use to be able to lay Charlie down in one spot and know he would still be there when I came back.  But now he follows me everywhere and wants to play with anything OTHER than his toys! Hahaha silly child. I should have brought him a few rolls of paper or christmas instead of all these toys (:

I have actually been pretty lucky with the Christmas tree and presents, Charlie has only gone over to it twice and I moved him away without much struggle on his behalf (: which is always a bonus!

Merry Christmas #mummyblogger
