New Mum Must Haves - the things no one tells you.

Nappy Bag
No one tells you that you also need to purchase one that you don't mind calling your handbag and purse!

I purchased my Nappy Bag from KateHill. As I'm not close to any of their stores, I used their online store! The service was fabulous.

I purchased a stone grey colour, this nippy bag is gorgeous! Comes in numerous colours, is super roomy and easily mistaken for a handbag.
$79.99 - Kate Hill

A Pram and a Car Seat
No one tells you that a travel system is so helpful! Everyone says it's just extra money that won't be worth it.

The pram I purchased had a matching capsule. Which clipped onto the pram and into the car! Making transitioning a newborn who may be asleep, so easy!
Now I listened to everyone else and I never purchased the travel system. Trust me when I say if ier have a second little babe I WILL be purchasing it!

Monitor
No one tells you how damn good the video monitors are! They even have a mute button.

I received a two way video monitor as a gift when Charlie was born. My partner an I thought it was a serious waste of money! Like why pay triple the amount of just a vocal monitor?
Let me tell you I am so grateful of the gift now! Despite the brilliant bonus of a night light, vocal sensors and mute button, it's so handy to just be able to look at your babe and be comfident they are safe without tip toeing into their room.

The monitor received was the Oricom Extra Camera Monitor SC710 (I think) they are also half price online at baby bunting at the moment! Only $99.95!

Baby Clothes
No one will tell you that onsies are actually what you will dress your new born in 99.99% of the time.

When your pregnant you buy so many "cute" newborn outfits! But in reality they are not comfortable and your little babe will probably scream every time you try get him/her dressed.

BONDS HAVE 30% OFF 😵
All I ever used for Charlie was onsies or things that did up underneath his nappy. It keeps them all tucked in and snuggly!
Ofcourse it's cute to dress them up and take photos! But it's not practical.

Top baby shower gifts!

Baby showers are lots of fun! Well mine wasn't.. I hated mine but that's a story for another day!

Presents are a big part of a baby shower but the presents that really stand out are realistic ones! Things that can be used daily.
Here is my list (with some help of my lovely Instagram followers) of the best baby shower gifts!

Home made hamper of real gifts! On their own these gifts may not seem like much but choose a few and throw them all into a cute storage basket of toy box and it's the prefect gift!
nappies
wipes
powders
creams
bath stuff
singlets
onsies

Think to the future!
Bigger sizes of clothing, Next seasons bedding! Things that mummas will think they have plenty of time to get in the future. Little do they know it will sneak up on them so quickly! Here are a few others:
bowels, spoons, plates
sippy cups
baby food blender
recipie book
babyledweaning book

Books!
Books are something that can be used from the moment you bring your baby home and continue to use as they grow. I would have loved to get more books at my baby shower as I read to Charlie all the time!

Car Seat Mirror!
Now this is something I didn't have for Charlie but a lovely IGer brought this to my knowledge! It's a mirror that sits on the head rest of the back seat, so you can see baby when they are rear facing! What a fab idea!

Gifts for the mumma
A massage or pamper voucher to use to relax before bub arrives would be a lovely touch. Even a eye wake up concealer to use on the mornings which you had no sleep! Trust me mummas will love these gifts too.

Top 5 ✋ Nursery Must Haves !

I just wanted to apologise! I had another featuring interior designer lined up to talk to you guys, but sadly I haven't heard back from her. But as mums we all loose track of things, so not to worry! (:

To wrap up the week that was, I thought I would do a little minni post about my top five nursery must haves!
So let's count down from 5 to 1 shall we?

Five |5| Something Unique and Individual!
Choose a nice little customised piece of something to add to your child's room to make it 100% their own! I have a name print in Charlie's room from England! It says what his name means and his birth date and weight ect (:

Four |4| STORAGE STORAGE STORAGE
Whether it be for clothes, toys, books or keep safe items. Your nursery will need storage! A book shelf or those floating shelves and little nooks are cute and really in at the moment!

Three |3| Nappy Stacker.
This is just something handy and cute that I have hanging close by to his change table, keeps all his nappies in order and neat. Ready to use (:

Two |2| Rocking Chair.
Especially when your baby is still waking throughout the night and especially whilst breastfeeding! Throw on a soft blanket and some cute cushions and that will be another great useful addition to the room.

One |1| voice and video monitor!
I absolutely swear by this! This morning at 5 am Charlie woke in his cot, I normally let him grizzle for a few minutes to see if he will go back to sleep. But he somehow managed to sit up in his cot! So I'm glad I could see instead of just hearing him grizzle I actually knew what he was doing.
